Alwadi Hotel MGallery’s unique culinary offerings, combined with the essence of Qatari hospitality, will both surprise and delight guests seeking a truly special and elevated dining experience in Doha.
“Our restaurants are the perfect settings for gathering with loved ones and friends,” said Hani Akkari, general manager of Alwadi hotel Doha MGallery. “Whether taking a leisurely breakfast, light lunch, an exquisite dinner, drinks or late-night snacks, our guests are assured of being welcomed as family as well as an exquisite dining experience.”
The hotel currently has five venues open to guests – all focusing on a different and authentic culinary experience.
Le Colonial, located on the first floor of the hotel, has in just a short period of time won many fans amongst Doha’s foodies. It is the hotel’s signature restaurant. Decorated to reflect the history of Qatar and the Msheireb area, the restaurant offers a menu of breakfast favourites and light meals served until 3pm. Using local produce, the chefs have re-invented some breakfast classics with a Qatari spin.
Guests can indulge in a traditional eggs Benedict or try a flavourful Qatari breakfast including shakshuka and balaleet. Fresh juices and international coffees and teas complement the menu. As the weather cools, diners can sit on the restaurant’s terrace and savour their meal with a view across to Souq Waqif, the historical heart of Doha.
Meanwhile, Sofra restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel evokes the majestic wooden dhows which are so much a part of Qatar’s history. It’s a la carte menu takes guests on a tour de force of the Levant, Arab and Qatari cuisines for dinner. Perfect for family dinners and get-togethers, the menu encourages sharing with beautifully cooked platters of seafood and meat straight from the charcoal grill as well as specialty dishes and Qatari favorites.
The stylish AtTEAtude Lounge gives guests the option of dining in the luxe lounge, refined majlis or enjoy the fresh breeze on the Msheireb view open terrace. With beautifully created pastries, desserts, light meals and a sumptuous tea selection, it is perfect setting for a morning of casual catch-ups, business lunches and afternoon tea. At night the venue dims the lights and transforms into a cozy spot for pre-dinner drinks or evening chats.
O’Glacee, with its unique views of Msherieb and poolside vibe, is the spot to relax. With an option of the restaurant serving Mediterranean-inspired dishes al fresco or the poolside bar for a drink and a light snack, as the Doha weather cools it is the hot spot in the city.
Akkari said the hotel’s restaurants showcase not only the culinary team’s depth and breadth, but also drew upon Qatar’s traditional of generous hospitality.
“Whether it’s a more traditional family dinner at Sofra or a gathering of friends for breakfast at Le Colonial or a chic afternoon ladies tea at AtTEAtude, Alwadi Hotel MGallery embraces authentic local experiences to give our guests memorable moments,” Akkari said.
