Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) customer Sara Al Malki has won QR1 million, the grand prize of the third edition of the MISK Account annual draw.
Malki emerged the “Millionaire Winner” following a draw conducted in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and QIB officials. She received the grand prize on Thursday at the QIB Head Office, in the presence of its General Manager (Personal Banking) D Anand and other executives.
With the annual grand prize announcement, QIB has concluded the third edition of the MISK draws, whereby 545 MISK Account holders have won weekly, monthly and annual cash prizes worth QR7.4 million in total.
Starting this week and for the next 52 weeks, the number of weekly winners to be rewarded QR10,000 each is increasing to 15.
In addition, every month, two lucky winners will win QR50,000 each, for the next 12 months. The grand prize draw for QR1 million will take place in November 2021. The total number of winners will increase to 805 and total prizes will reach QR10 million.
“I would like to thank QIB for this amazing prize. For me, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am thankful to all those who encouraged me to open a MISK Account in the first place, and to QIB for their innovative way to reward customers for adopting good saving habits,” Malki said.

When opening a MISK Account, customers will receive a free debit card, become eligible to request a free for the first year credit card backed by the account balance, receive profits on their savings and have the chance to frequently win cash prizes.
All Qatari citizens and residents are eligible to open an MISK Savings Account for themselves or their children. Customers have to maintain a minimum monthly balance of QR10,000 to be eligible for the weekly draws.
To qualify for the grand prize draw, the customer must open the account three months prior to the draw and maintain a minimum of QR10,000 for each of those months. For every additional QR 10,000 saved, the customer has one additional chance in the draws.
