Qatar University’s College of Engineering (QU-CENG) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aryan Properties to establish collaboration in the fields of research, consulting and knowledge transfer.
CENG Dean Dr Khalid Kamal Naji and Aryan Properties CEO Mohammed Hussein Al Ali signed the MoU in the presence of officials from both institutions.
It aims to establish collaboration between QU and Aryan in the academic research and student training and support field, as well as in the exchange of information and advice.
Through the MoU, CENG will provide Aryan with advice and workshops covering different areas. CENG faculty will also support Aryan’s projects by ensuring the transfer of knowledge and the progressive development of existing projects.
Commenting on the MoU, CENG Dean Dr Khalid Kamal Naji’s said, “The MoU highlights QU CENG’s ongoing efforts to address local challenges in line with national priorities for a knowledge-based economy. It will also serve to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and to provide consultancy and research services that will help to drive socio-economic development and sustainability in the State of Qatar.”
Aryan Properties CEO Mohammed Hussein Al Ali said, “We are proud to sign a memorandum of understanding with the College of Engineering at Qatar University in order to complement the efforts made by the education and industry sectors to support Qatar National Vision 2030, and prepare future engineers, which comes as a part of the integration between the academic and industrial sectors.”
“Our long-term partnership will be reflected on both parties through joint activities and programs, support for students and graduates, and we will endeavor to support education and capacity building through social responsibility programmes,” he added.
