No Darb Al Saai QND activities this year Oct 28, 2020 0 5611 12345 Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Organising Committee of the Qatar National Day celebrations has announced that Darb Al Saai events will not be held this year owing to “the current circumstances surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic”.The committee said the step has been taken to ensure health and safety for all in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Darb Al Saai events will be held next year.The committee said this year will see establishment of many historical programmes, competitions and seminars that will be broadcast on the Doha 360 website. All will be held in a distinctive manner, in line with the importance of Qatar National Day.The National Day, which is marked on December 18, aims to deepen belonging and loyalty to the homeland, highlighting all manifestations of solidarity, unity and pride in the national identity of the State of Qatar.
