Al Arabi square with Rayyan in Amir Cup semi-finals; QVA refs go hi tech

The referees of Qatar Volleyball Association officiating at the Amir nCup volleyball tournament began using wireless communication ntechnology during the second-leg matches of the semi-finals. This helps facilitate the process of communication between the first and second referees and helps them speeds up taking decisions.

Al Arabi bounced back with a win to square the best of three Amir Cup semi-finals against Al Rayyan 1-1 at the QVA Hall in Gharafa on Monday. In the other semis, Police SC emerge as winners a second time.
Al Arabi beat Al Rayyan 3-2 (25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11) in a see-saw battle. Al Arabi had lost the first leg 2-3 on Saturday. Police SC blanked Qatar SC 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-21) for a second consecutive win and a place in the final. Police SC had won by similar 3-0 margin earlier on Saturday.
