Residents who have obtained an Exception Entry Permit to enter Qatar but couldn’t travel before its expiry can now apply to extend the permit for an additional 30 days.
However, certain conditions have to be met before applying for the extension, Qatar’s e-Government Portal, Hukoomi, said on Monday.
The conditions are:
? The extension request is to submitted at least one day after the expiry of the previous permit.
? The holder of the permit must not be inside the state.
Qatar launched the “Exceptional Entry Permit” to help residents and their families stuck overseas due to COVID-19 to enter the country. The temporary service allows employers, whether individuals or companies, government or private sectors, to apply for entry permits for residents and their family members holding QIDs under which they can return to Qatar.
The entry permit is valid for one month from the date of issuance. The permit holder must download Ehteraz application upon arrival in the country.
