Waseem provided a fiery start to the QCA activities as his thrilling knock of 59 set up a 56-run win over DejaWu Club in Division C of the popular Qatar Airways Cricket Tournament.

The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), under the Presidency of Yousef Jeham Al Kuwari, resumed its sporting activities at the West Bay Grounds following all the precautions and protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic issued by the State of Qatar.
Opting to bat first, Hilti Qatar appeared in good nick and collected runs at a brisk pace. Two partnerships played important roles in lifting their total to formidable 188 for five. Opener Moin (23 with 5x4s) and Shehabudin (37 in 22 balls with 7x4s) added 46 runs for the second wicket.
It was followed by an entertaining fourth-wicket alliance of 43 runs, shared by man-of-the-match Waseem and Shabir Husain. Waseem smashed eight fours and two sixes in his 27-ball cameo to get 59, while Husain added 15 runs.
Later Faizan, hit a six and three fours in his unbeaten 27.
DejaWu Club kept themselves on the course in the beginning when they were 81 for three but later Hilti Qatar snapped five wickets wickets to forge the big victory.
Paranthaman led the resistance as he hit three fours in 43 off 42 balls. Munir (three for 23) and Imran Faraz (two for 11) were the main bowlers for the winners.
