The Al Shafallah Center for Persons with Disability, one of the centres operating under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, announced that the reception of the centre members of the external case unit would resume from November 1 in accordance with the precautionary measures to safeguard the safety of members and staff.
The Center indicated that the bending members registered on the registration and evaluation lists will be received for assessment on a specific schedule during the days of the week and by a percentage not exceeding 30% of the attendance, and that the registered cases will be received in an external case unit for the provision of therapeutic session services (language and speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy) and by 30 percent, in addition to receiving the parents of members of the Early Childhood Department from the age of birth to (3 years) to provide the required training sessions, with a percentage not exceeding 30%.
The Executive Director of the Al Shafallah Center Laalei Abu Alfain said that the centre is always committed to providing education, rehabilitation and therapeutic services to persons with disabilities, without discrimination between males and females, as well as to integrating them into society, promoting awareness in society, providing support, technical advice and counseling to families on how to integrate them into society. She stressed that the decision to postpone training and learning for the associates of the Al Shafallah Center for Persons with Disability for a period of two months, starting last September, was taken out of concern, taking into account the conditions of the staff health centers and ensuring their safety from the risk of infection with the Covid-19 virus.
Executive Director of Al Shafallah Center confirmed that the centre will take a number of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its members and staff, following general sterilisation of the places designated for training and following precautionary measures such as temperature measurement upon arrival Checking the Ehteraz app for escort members and medical examination of service providers involved in the services and medical examination of members and service providers 72 hours before the date of resumption of education and rehabilitation services.
Laalei Abu Alfain added that the Al Shafallah Center will continue to provide training and rehabilitation services to the rest of the members of other distance learning departments as a precautionary measure in the light of current circumstances to protect their health and safety throughout the first semester. He highlighted the need for parents to follow up on distance education services through virtual classroom platforms via Microsoft Teams for members of education departments. Abu Alfin also pointed out that the Al Shafallah Center stressed the need for members’ parents to attend the center with a personal escort on time , in accordance with the schedule of training sessions.
