Qatar Toastmasters club recently hosted a hybrid meeting where 15 members met in-person at the recently-inaugurated hotel DoubleTree by Hilton, with the remaining members attending the meeting virtually via Zoom.
The initiative was in line with the club’s aim to provide the best public speaking experience to its members while following the government regulations of keeping a safe meeting environment for everyone. Speakers and role players delivered their parts standing in the meeting room and online through the eye of their laptops and mobile phones where they had the opportunity to experience large audience both physically and virtually.
Qatar Toastmasters club is one of the first clubs to be established in Qatar since 1997. It is the largest club in Qatar with over 70 members of diverse pool of nationalities. Its members have taken several roles on the area, division and district levels throughout the years and contributed majorly in the success of the Toastmasters’ success in the country.
The club is affiliated to Toastmasters International, the leading US-based non-profit organisation dedicated to creating effective leaders and communicators worldwide.
The Toastmasters’ mission is to empower people to find the courage to change, achieve their full potential, and ultimately share in the mission of contributing to the betterment of society.
