Environment monitoring buoys installed at Hamad and Ruwais ports Oct 19, 2020 0 6682 12345 The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Environmental Monitoring and Laboratory Department, supervised the operations of landing four environmental monitoring buoys -- two in Hamad Port and two in Ruwais Port -- in coordination with Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar). The installation of the buoys is part of the most important activities for establishing the national network for continuous monitoring and early warning, as part of preparing and implementing a comprehensive plan for monitoring coastal and marine water quality in the National Strategy 2022. This plan aims to improve coastal and marine water quality to comply with national standards, marine environment sustainability, and early warning system.
