Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani released the “Building Requirements Guide in the State of Qatar” on Thursday.
The guide contains planning and design requirements for state buildings, building permit requirements and procedures for issuing them.
The guide, which is available in electronic and paper versions, will make it easier for citizens and investors to know all transactions and procedures, and will help stimulate the economic environment for the construction sector.
In a tweet, the PM said, “Thanks to God, we have also launched the ‘Building Requirements Guide’ to keep pace with the construction and investment boom witnessed by Qatar. This step, in addition to regulation and facilitation for citizens and investors, aims to preserve the character and urban identity of our country in a framework that combines originality and development.
The launch ceremony was attended by Minister of Municipality and Environment HE Eng Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie and ministry officials.
