Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, accompanied by Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar, inaugurated the training ship Al Doha QTS91 at Anadolu Shipyard in Istanbul on Thursday.
Al Doha QTS91 ship is one of the largest training ships in the world and it will contribute to enhancing the training capabilities of the Qatari Navy in general, and Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy and its members in particular. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Turkey HE Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi, Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces Major General (Navy) Abdullah Hassan Al Sulaiti, Qatar’s Military Attache in Turkey Brigadier General (Air) Mohammed Rashed Al Hajri, and senior officers from both sides.
