Qatar University’s College of Engineering (QU-CENG) organised a ceremony to recognise CENG alumni entrepreneurs who set up small businesses that supported the national economy and provided a number of competitive products and services that have proved their worth in the local market.
In his speech, QU-CENG Dean Dr Khaled Kamal Naji said, “CENG supports students in the fields of entrepreneurship through the Technological Innovation and Engineering Education Unit, which seeks to motivate students to build innovative ideas and move them to successful and competitive projects.”
Qatar University College of Business and Economics Dean Dr Adam Fadlallah said, “We encourage our students to enter the threshold of entrepreneurship and to set up small and medium-sized enterprises that can create innovative products and provide opportunities.”
Entrepreneurs who have been honoured included: Eng. Naif Al Ibrahim, co-founder and CEO of Ibtikar Digital Solutions; Eng. Saleh Al Safran, co-founder and managing director of Sobul; Eng. Wissam Sweilam, CEO, Delta Corporation; Eng Yahya Al Homsi, co-founder and managing director of Volatat; Eng Khaled Sultan Al-Darwish, CEO of Swapinfo; Abdul Razzaq Ali, co-founder and CEO of Unicole; Dr Muhammad Sadeq, managing director of Seero; Eng. Musab Naeem Al Muzain, co-founder of Airlift; Architect Al Paddy Al Harami, Scratch Design; and Eng. Reem Al Muhammad, United Allies. (TNN)
