THE Shura Council on Thursday participated in a parliamentary webinar on law and governance approaches on ocean and climate change, organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in cooperation with the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Center for Sustainable Development Law.
Discussions during the webinar focused on examining how domestic policy-making processes can strengthen legislation related to climate change, exchanging best practices in law-making and creating institutional arrangements to address climate change in the context of ocean governance.
The Shura Council was represented in the webinar by Council Member HE Yousef bin Rashid Al Khater.
