Qatar secures first place in combating smuggling of COVID-19 products

Qatar has achieved first place in the world in the number of customs seizures related to combating the smuggling of preventive and treatment products for the coronavirus (COVID-19), such as disinfection materials, sterilisers, medical masks and others. This came in the final report of the international emergency special operation (STOP), which was called by the World Customs Organization, the World Health Organization and the Interpol organization. Qatar achieved the first place with the highest 198 seizures, followed by the UK with 123 seizures and Peru with 95 seizures. The final report of the operation praised the efforts of Qatar. (QNA)
