The National Service Academy concluded the Nidaa Miqdam Exercise with the participation of various units of the Qatar Armed Forces and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) represented by Al Khor Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Ambulance Service.
The exercise was held under the patronage and presence of Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem.
The exercise aims to educate national service recruits on the manner of air medical evacuation in critical situations, to show concern for their lives by providing the necessary medical care at the utmost speed and to convey to the community the extent of the National Service Academy’s concern for the safety of its recruits in coordination with the medical services.
The exercise also aims to train medical personnel at Miqdam Health Center on how to deal with critical cases, activate the medical emergency plan for air evacuation and train on how to contact the competent authorities.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers from the Qatar Armed Forces.
