THE General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) participated in the 45th meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee of the Gulf Civil Pension and Social Security Agencies held via video conference technology.
The authority was represented at the meeting by Director of Customer Management and Member of the committee Ali Abdullah Al Kuwari.
The meeting dealt with the work plan of the Committee of Heads of Civil Pension and Social Insurance Agencies, the update of a comparative study of civil pension and social insurance systems to discuss ways of rapprochement between them, the review and update of the unified system for extending insurance protection, and the review of applied developments, in addition to discussing the development of procedures manual between agencies and beneficiaries in the GCC.
The meeting also touched on the electronic link between civil pension and social insurance systems and the challenges related to the payment of contributions to banks, in addition to reviewing statistics on the number of Gulf nationals working in the GCC countries.
Developments in the implementation of the system for citizens were also discussed, in addition to coordinating participation in international events and discussing the requirements of a unified visual media campaign, in addition to topics submitted by member states.
