The Al-Shamal Municipality, represented by the Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department, carried out an inspection campaign on food shops in the Mina market, during which about 200 kg of foodstuffs found unfit for human consumption were destroyed.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Public Hygiene Department, in coordination with the Protection and Wildlife Department and the Natural Reserves Department, removed a dead sea cow and two dead sea turtles from Al-Arish Beach in the northern part of Qatar.
Meanwhile, the General Control Department in the Municipality of Al-Khor and Al-Thakhira in July carried out 108 inspection tours during which 89 minutes of violation were issued in accordance with the provisions of Law No 18 of 2017 regarding public cleanliness. Sixty (60) of the reports were reconciled and eight were transferred to the security authorities to take legal action against the violators. Besides, one abandoned car was removed.
Al-Rayyan Municipality, represented by the Department of Services Affairs, continued sterilisation and disinfection campaigns in 95 regions and 2,815 streets within the geographical boundaries of the municipality. The municipality also implemented 1,781 requests for insects and rodents control, including 1,556 requests for pest control and 225 applications for rodent control.
On its part, Al-Sheehaniya Municipality, represented by the Services Affairs Department, continues mosquito control campaigns, as it carried out an anti-mosquito campaign in both Sheehaniya and Kharib.
