Seoul Four people have been killed and one is missing after heavy rains triggered a landslide in a southern town in South Korea, local offcials said on Saturday.
Five homes were buried when the landslide swept through a village in Gokseong, some 400 kilometres south of the capital Seoul, on Friday evening, news agency Yonhap reported.
Three victims aged between 50 - 70 were rescued soon after the landslide hit but all died later in hospital, according to Yonhap.
Another victim was found Saturday morning, once rescue work resumed after halting around midnight due torrential rain and threat of further landslides. (DPA)
