As many as 267 people tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar on Wednesday, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in its daily report.
Also, 285 more recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 108,539.
Sadly, a 63-year-old patient undergoing treatment for COVID-19 passed away, taking the death toll in the country to 178.
In a statement, the MoPH said all the new cases have been introduced to isolation and are receiving necessary healthcare according to their health status.
“Measures to tackle COVID-19 in Qatar have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus and the number of new daily cases and hospital admissions is continuing to decline each week,” the MoPH added.
However, the MoPH urged the public to strictly follow the set precautionary measures such as avoiding close contact with others and crowded places, adhering to physical distancing, wearing a face mask and washing hands regularly.
