Doha
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Department of Public Hygiene, has carried out sweeping and washing activities in a number of areas in Doha, including the Corniche, in order to maintain its cleanliness and beauty.
These works come within a special plan and programmes set by the cleaning department. This includes providing field teams for follow-up and the use of vehicles to clean the Corniche over three days.
The ministry also carried out intensive cleaning operations on facilities at various entertainment places and commercial and public streets, and provided special field teams. The ministry has increased the number of waste containers in the areas.
In cooperation with the inspectors of the Public Control Department in the Municipality of Doha, the field teams recorded 17 violations by street vendors in the Corniche and violation of the Public Cleanliness Law by some visitors of the Corniche.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment calls on visitors to public places and beaches to abide by the Public Cleanliness Law No 18 of 2017 regarding public cleanliness.
