In what would be a crucial game for Al Duhail to strengthen their position as QNB Stars League leaders against Al Gharafa on Sunday, the Cheetahs’ coach Slavisa Jokanovic exuded confidence in his team saying they are targeting full points.
Al Gharafa are currently fourth with 31 points from 18 matches, while Al Duhail have 43 points from the same number of games.
“We are looking forward to play this match (vs Duhail) with the same ambition as we played against Al Arabi and compete for the three points. This is our target especially since the resumption of the league after a long break. We will work to collect the maximum number of points from the remaining four games, including the next one against Al Duhail. They are strong opponents and are leaders in the table. They deserve their current position,” said the Serbian.
Al Duhail coach Walid Regragui, meanwhile, hoped that the Knights would play like champions and iron out their mistakes. “After dropping points against Umm Salal, we need to rectify the negative aspects. We know that Al Gharafa game will be difficult because they are a strong side. As I said before, no one will give us gifts, everyone wants to beat Al Duhail,” said the French born and former Morocco international.Sunday’s matches
