The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), in cooperation with the ITU-Arab Regional Cyber Security Center (ARCC), has opened registration for Qatar Threat Hunters 2020.
The MoTC has invited all those interested in information security and those with a unique ability to detect security threats to join the competition. Registration is available at https:/cyberstars.pro/qatar/until August 25, 2020.
The competition is open to young people 17-24 years of age and young people 24 years of age and older.
The three winners of the Qatar Threat Hunters 2020 competition from each age group will be nominated to participate and represent Qatar at the 3rd edition of the Regional Threat Hunters 2020 competition, organized by ITU-ARCC in partnership with Silensec.
The competition revolves around several cybersecurity scenarios and challenges such as ethical hacking, ICT infrastructure protection, computer forensics and malware analysis.
The aim of this year’s competition is to further develop and enhance the skills and talents of the Arab world in the field of cybersecurity and to respond to cybersecurity challenges arising from the novel Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to qualify and prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and specialists and harness their capabilities to compete regionally.
The competition in Qatar will take place on Wednesday, 26 August 2020 for participants from within Qatar, ending with the selection of three winners from each age group who will compete at the level of Arab countries at the regional level to be held during Q4 of 2020.
