Ooredoo joins Qatar Charity to share Eid’s joy with orphans Ooredoo has extended financial assistance to Qatar Charity in support of the Eid Gift for Orphans project implemented in the State of Qatar as part of the company’s social responsibility policy. The Director of Public Relations at Ooredoo Sabah Al Kuwari handed a check to the Director of the Local Development Department at Qatar Charity Jassim Al Emadi.
Al Emadi thanked Ooredoo for his continued partnership with Qatar Charity and his support for giving orphans the warmth of their families, especially on such happy occasions as Eid al Adha. He also emphasized the commitment of Qatar Charity to cooperate with Ooredoo and other companies in the field of community service and development within and outside the country.
For his part, Al Kuwari said that this support was intended to share the joy of Eid al Adha with orphans, adding that the company is very keen to support these vulnerable children. He also noted that both Qatar Charity and Ooredoo enjoy a long-standing partnership throughout the year, including important seasons such as Ramadan.
He also expressed his admiration for the efforts of Qatar Charity in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as he said it was among the very effective and active institutions that had a significant positive impact on limiting the spread of the pandemic in the country. In addition, he praised Qatar Charity for its diverse and ongoing initiatives and projects throughout the ear.
It should be noted that Qatar Charity aims to give Eid gifts to 450 orphans sponsored within Qatar, in addition to giving Eid clothing to 450 children from low-income families in the country.
