Qatar will begin the third phase of gradual reopening on Tuesday, with 80 percent of employees returning to their places of work.
Barbershops and salons will open at 30 percent capacity. Gradual opening of mosques will continue, with Friday and Eid prayers being allowed in some mosques.
As for social gatherings during the third phase, the limit on indoor gatherings will be a maximum of 10 people.
At outdoor venues, 30 people will be allowed at social gatherings with strict adherence to precautionary measures.
Up to 80 percent of employees will be allowed in the workplace with strict health precautions (with employees to begin to work immediately after Eid holidays). The rest 20 percent can continue to work from homes.
Selected restaurants will be permitted to open at up to 50 percent capacity with precautionary measures such as minimum of 2 metres between tables and a maximum of four people per table (six if from the same household). Food courts in shopping malls will remain closed during this phase.
Malls will continue to operate at 50 percent capacity with strict implementation of precautionary measures. Children under 12 are not allowed inside the malls.
Souqs will operate at a maximum capacity of 75 percent, while wholesale markets will continue to operate at 30 percent capacity.
Barbershops and salons will reopen at up to 30 percent capacity with strict cleaning and disinfection measures in place.
Salon employees are required to wear face masks, face shields and gloves. Only clients with scheduled appointment will be allowed to enter.
Gyms and outdoor swimming pools will reopen at a maximum capacity of 50 percent.
Indoor swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzis and massage service will remain closed.
Swimming pools should be monitored by staff to ensure guests maintain physical distancing in and out of the pool.
Driving schools will reopen at half the capacity.
The Phase III will also see capacity of private healthcare facilities increase to 80 percent while allowing the resumption of home health services.
The Ministry of Public Health has reiterated that everybody must continue to follow the health precautionary measures.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures such as adherence to physical distancing and avoiding close contact with others.
