A number of employees at the Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs (MADLSA) have been designated judicial officers for matters relating to implementing the provisions of the labor law and decisions. The title of judicial officer allows the ministry’s inspectors to report crimes that violate the provisions of law no 12 of 2004.
Minister of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs HE Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhroo stressed the important role that the inspectors and judicial officers play in completing tasks that serve the country.
He praised the role of the ministry’s inspectors in enforcing laws and decisions that regulate work in the state’s different sectors.
The employee is given a judicial officer title for crimes that fall within his jurisdiction.
The title must be issued in a decision by the Attorney-General in agreement with the designated minister. (QNA)
