Qatar will send two field hospitals to Iraq in support of its efforts to contain the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa Al Kadhimi on Monday.
The call dealt with reviewing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in different fields.
The Prime Minister informed Al Kadhimi that His Highness The Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued directives to send two field hospitals equipped with medical devices to Iraq in support of the efforts to contain the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
For his part, the Iraqi Prime Minister thanked HH The Amir for Qatar’s support to Iraq.
