The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will start conducting the necessary tests on Sunday, July 19, for new students applying to enrol in schools for the 2020-2021 academic year, the corporation has announced.
The corporation said it had taken all necessary measures and precautions to ensure the safety of students after the procedures for examining students applying for enrolment in schools for this year were developed, especially in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The PHCC team has developed procedures for medical examination to register in schools so that examination procedures are carried out through only one visit and according to specific dates so as to reduce students visit to health centres to ensure their safety, while applying all precautionary measures.
The test procedures are summarised in the parents call to the hotline (107) to choose the medical examination for school students to book an appointment for the registration of schools, where the specialised staff will book all the necessary appointments for the student electronically for both the dental and family medical clinics.
The second step will require the parent and student to health centre according to the day specified for the examination, an hour before the appointment time, with the necessary documents -- valid ID, health card, birth certificate and vaccination card.
With regard to students enrolled in health centres currently designated to examine suspected coronavirus cases, namely Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Muaither Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center and Gharrafat Al Rayyan Health Center, alternative centres have been identified to direct new students to for a medical examination.
Accordingly, those registered in Muaither Health Center will be directed to the Al Wajbah Health Center or Al Waab Health Center, while those registered at the Rawdat Al Khail Health Center will be directed to each of the A Al Thumama Health Center, Omar Bin Al Khattab Health Center or the Airport Health Center. While those who are registered in Umm Slal Health Center will be directed to the Qatar University Health Center or Al Daayen Health Center, those who are registered at Gharrafat Al Rayyan Health Center will be directed to the Leabaib Health Center or Madinat Khalifa Healthcare Center.
The Primary Health Care Corporation confirmed that all health centers are ready to receive students and parents to facilitate all required procedures, and called on all parents and visitors to adhere to all precautions to ensure their safety and that of students. (QNA)
