OOREDOO has announced its sponsorship of the upcoming ‘Green Future’ competition to highlight the importance of sustainability and protection of environment.
As part of the ‘Teach From Home’ campaign, the Doha Girls Center competition aims to foster creativity and innovation and to promote the importance of protecting and preserving the environment.
What participants need to do to participate is transform a neglected, unused item headed for recycling into a beautiful, useful innovation and they could win a smartphone.
The competition is open to females aged between 15 and 39 years. Materials must be filmed before and after transformation, with a detailed explanation of the product and its function, together with a description of the innovative, creative element. Participants will not need to buy particular materials; they are encouraged to just use whatever lies around the house waiting to be recycled. Videos must be in Arabic, with subtitles if appropriate, and each participant can submit one entry only.
Speaking of the competition, Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, Director of PR at Ooredoo, said: “Promoting sustainability and preserving our environment is a high priority at Ooredoo, as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, and we are very pleased to support this competition. We all need to do what we can to help protect our environment for future generations, and this competition is a great way to do this while having fun!”
