THE MES Indian School has achieved excellent results in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Grade XII examinations held in March, 2020. A total of 499 students appeared for the exams.
In Science stream, Abdul Rasheed Mohammed Ali emerged as the school topper with 97.4 percent marks, closely followed by Nafea Inayath and Sneha Mary Biju sharing the second position with 97.2 percent, and Anjana C K and Gaadha Vinukumar sharing the third position with 96.8 percent marks.
In Commerce stream, Athira Aravind and Meenakshi Gopikrishnan were the joint toppers of the school with 93.2 percent marks while Eliza Mary Mathewnd Roshini Ray Varghese bagged the second and third positions with 92 percent and 90.6 percent marks respectively.
In Humanities, Hafsa Anjum topped the school with 95.6 percent marks whereas Nihala Parampath Sageer and Rizana secured the second and third positions with 90.4 percent and 89.8 percent marks.
Meanwhile, Asiya Anas secured 100 percent marks in Mathematics while Nibraz Iqbal Tasbi and Jaseena Hameed scored 100 percent in Engineering Graphics.
A total of 24 students secured A1 in all five subjects. They are Abdul Rasheed Mohamed Ali, Deep Chandra, Aman Selvaraj, Abdul Kalaam Peermohamed, Vignesh Suresh Iyer, Nafea Inayat, Sneha Mary Biju, Anjana CK, Gaadha Vinukumar, Yashaswini Ganesh, Sharin Mary Siji, Maryam Rahmatullah, Asiya Anas, Asiya Mubeen, Niyathi Mohanan, Hamiya Cheerathadayan, Nazreen Nassar, Reha Rahim, Varsha Sajeevkumar, Hafsa Anjum, Fatima
Fiaz, Fida Mukthar, Mary Gloria and Nishat Joharali Pongle.
The top scorers in different subjects are: Sherin Thomas Samuel (English) with 99 percent and Asiya Anas (Mathematics) with 100 percent. In Physics, Abdul Rasheed Mohamed Ali and Yashaswini Ganesh emerged as the toppers with 98 percent marks.
Abdul Rasheed Mohamed Ali and Gaadha Vinukumar top scored with 99 percent in Chemistry. Gaadha Vinukumar and Liya Mariyam Cheerakkottu scored 99% in Biology while Mahalakshmi Rajeev got 99 percent in Economics. Athira Aravind top scored in Accountancy with 95 percent; Hafsa Anjum in History (95%); Sherin Thomas Samuel and Sharin Mary Siji in Informatics Practices (97%); Sneha Mary Biju in Computer Science (98%) and Nafea Inayat in Home Science (98%)
The school management and Principal Mrs Hameeda Kadar have expressed their appreciation of the commendable achievements of students and the contribution of teachers.
