BPS students pass Class XII exams with flying colours

Birla Public School (BPS) students have passed their Class XII examinations, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) of India, with flying colours.
According to a school press release on Monday, 281 BPS students sat the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in March, 2020, of which 41 percent scored above 90 percent marks. Overall, 90 percent students scored above 75 percent with distinction.
The toppers in different streams include: Ashley Accamma Babu (Science) with 96.80 percent marks; Tanya Pinheiro (Commerce) with 96.60 percent; and Keerthisree Annapantula (Humanities) with 94.60 marks.
Altogether, 23 students got A1 grade in all the five subjects while seven each got A1 in Engineering Graphics and Psychology whereas one in English Core scored 100 percent. In all, the school got 482 A1s, in various subjects.
This year the school registered 87.86 percent school average in Science, 82.14 percent in Commerce and 83.04% in Humanities while the overall school average was recorded at 86.10%. (TNN)
