Ashghal opens 7-km linking road

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has opened the 7-km road linking Doha Expressway and Southern Doha Expressway to Mesaimeer Interchange. The road will ensure a free and direct traffic flow from Mesaieed, Al Wakra and Al Wukair towards Doha, 22 February Street and Al Shamal Road. The route also offers a direct link with the stadiums of Ras Bu Abboud, Al Janoub and Al Thumama, accomplishing 95 percent of expressway works serving Al Thumama Stadium. With the opening, road users of Doha, Al Wakra and Al Wukair can now have four 4 routes -- Al Wakra Road to Al Matar Street, New Al Wakra Road to Najma Street, Southern Doha Expressway to 22 February Street and Hamad Port Road to East Industrial Street.
