The Junior Section of MES Indian School held a panel discussion for its students on the subject of ‘Impact of COVID-19 lockdown on young children’, on the virtual platform on Saturday. A total of 10 Grade IV panellists spoke about the different effects of the lockdown on their little world.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the programme, MES Indian School Principal Hameeda Kadar congratulated the participants and admired them for making the most of the hard times caused by the pandemic into a productive one. The guest of honour, Headmistress of Junior Section Sumayya Nazeer expressed her views on the far-reaching consequences of COVID-19.
The panellists included Kate Liz Elwish, Reyhan Salim, Aaesha Fathima, Mohammed Shahzad, Aleena Maryam, Abdel Ahedh, Safa Shaikh, Prajwal Sudheer, Vanshika Kapur and Fathima Dhaniya. The topics of the panel discussion included, among other things, ways of dealing with the present difficult times. The panellists also shared their views on how productive one could be by using time to pursue one’s favourite pastime to develop and acquire new skills during the lockdown. Farhana Nazeer was the moderator of the debate.
Earlier, the programme began with the recitation of Master Abdullah Muhammad Sajid ‘s prayer, followed by a welcome note by Farhana Nazeer, Professor, Junior Section. E-certificates were also awarded to the panellists for their participation. Uzma Fatimee has proposed a vote of thanks. School officials, including the Principal, the Deputy Principals, the Head of Sections, the Head of Academic Inspection and the Head of Academic Inspection, attended the event with the parents.
