As many as 1,165 people recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total number of recoveries in Qatar to 97,272, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in its daily report.
The last 24 hours also saw 557 people testing positive for the virus. Sadly, four people — aged 52, 53, 63 and 76 — succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll in the country 142.
The MoPH said all the new cases have been introduced to isolation and are receiving necessary healthcare.
“Measures taken to tackle COVID-19 in Qatar have succeeded in flattening the curve and limiting the spread of the virus. The number of new daily cases and hospital admissions continues to decline each week,” the MoPH said.
“Proactive and extensive testing of suspected cases has enabled us to identify a high number of positive cases in the community,” it said.
