The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) has started its summer camp activities under the title ‘Aqua Steam’. The activities of the camp, which will continue until the middle of this month, will depend on direct broadcast techniques and distance learning, through the STEAM educational system, which aims to integrate basic teaching materials constructively into science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
In a statement, QSC stated that, in view of the high demand for registration in activities for two groups for four days each, the club administration decided to extend the activity period to two new groups during the month of August, in addition to two special robot groups, so that the total number of groups would be six in four general groups and two in Wedo2r.
QSC has specified the appropriate age range for robot activity to be between 8 and 10 years, and it has been stipulated that the participant must have a Weido2 robot collection to participate in the robot activity.
The first general group activities of the summer camp are scheduled to end next Wednesday and the second general group will be scheduled to run from 12 to 15 July. The first robot group begins its activities during the period from 19 to 23 July, and the third general group begins its activities during the period from 9 to 12 August. Then the fourth general group will be from August 16 to August 19, while the second robot group will be from August 23 to August 26.
The education system in these groups has been adopted “remotely” through the electronic platforms of the Scientific Club, and those wishing to register can enter the website of the Qatari Scientific Club and choose the group they want, then add their data and wait until they receive a text message from the scientific club stating that they have agreed to register. After that, the participants will be able to go to the club headquarters, register and pay the fees for the scientific bag in order to take it with them, as this bag will accompany them in the activities during the educational workshops remotely and during the implementation of their scientific projects.
