Ooredoo Qatar has reached a milestone of 500,000 mobile postpaid customers, the leading telecommunications operator has announced.
The latest figures show that some 500,000 customers with Ooredoohave a mobile postpaid contract, which the company attributes to the massive expansion of its mobile postpaid customer base to the revolutionary 5 G plans introduced in December 2019.
Approximately 200,000 customers have signed up for a new 5G contract, with many more drawn by the many benefits each day. All customers signing up for a new 5G plan can take advantage of a choice of entertainment and lifestyle benefits: free access to premium football on beIN CONNECT; Hollywood, Disney and Marvel movies on STARZ PLAY; Bollywood movies and shows on ErosNow; and two-for-one offers across Qatar and the region with Urban Point.
Ooredoo ‘s latest partnership, with entertainment giant Netflix, also means that Qatari customers can access all the latest movies and shows via a free six-month subscription to Netflix on offer.
In addition to entertainment and lifestyle advantages, customers can also tailor their new Shahry 5 G and Qatar 5 G plans to suit their needs; all plans give access to a range of add-ons.
Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, director PR at Ooredoo, said: “We are pleased to see the impact our recently launched 5G plans have had on our mobile postpaid customer base, and we are proud to note that we have reached a milestone of half a million. We’ve meticulously designed plans to deliver maximum benefits to our customers, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see how well they’ve been received on the market. Now, more than ever, it is so important for us to ensure that we offer what our customers want and need, and these figures show that we do just that.”
