The Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the General Directorate for Civil Defence, signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) to support and strengthen the partnership between the two parties in the area of disaster response on Monday.
The agreement was signed by Director General of Civil Defence Brigadier Hamad Othman Al Duhaimi and QRCS Secretary-General Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi.
In a press statement on the occasion, Brigadier Hamad Othman Al Duhaimi said the agreement is an extension and support for constructive and fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior, represented by the General Directorate for Civil Defence and the QRCS, in areas of mutual interest.
He pointed out that it encompasses a number of aspects, such as joint cooperation between the two parties in the field of disaster management, exchange of experience, research and information, and holding of various joint
courses.
For his part, QRCS Secretary-General Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi said the agreement signed on Monday was a framework agreement that came to promote cooperation and enhance partnership in order to broaden its scope to serve the country and society in the common areas between the two parties.
