In a joint effort to reduce waste accumulation and damage to the environment, as well as to improve the overall wellbeing of the community, Servcorp-Qatar and Elite Paper Recycling signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the presence of Fabienne Moukheiber Hajjar, senior manager, Catina Aghayan, communication advisor.
The agreement represents their desire to promote awareness of a healthier society, and increased cooperation to encourage environmental sustainability and recycling efforts. Under the MoU, the two companies will work together to find solutions to the persistent environmental problems and instil the right concepts related to environmental protection in children.
“At Servcorp, we acknowledge the seriousness of climate change and its impact on our planet. As a result, we have earlier launched The Green Offices Project – a global platform for proactive initiatives that reduce our impact on the environment and highlight green issues within our teams and client base. As we strive to provide the best workspace solutions for businesses in Qatar, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, we look forward to our joint efforts with Elite Paper Recycling to introduce our next three distinct areas of focus: ‘Reduce, Offset and Educate’ our teams and clients about improving their day-to-day impact on the environment,” said a statement from Servcorp.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, chairman of Elite Paper Recycling, stated, “We are happy to sign this agreement with Servcorp and we are keen on uniting efforts and exchanging services. During the first phase, we will provide cardboard indoor waste bins made of 100 percent recycled paper to raise awareness about paper recycling. This is in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, and there will be many more future initiatives between us, especially green initiatives at various levels.”
Catina Aghayan added, “Our SME has reached another milestone with signing an agreement with Servcorp, which is a gigantic multinational company. We have a solid agenda of joint community activities throughout the year on sustainability and environment awareness. Today, businesses all over the world are evolving into ‘Business with Value’ and EPR, while out company is pioneering the ‘Circular Economy Business Model’ in Qatar. We will use national and international platforms to fight climate change and protect the planet’s resources.”
