Qatar on Sunday saw further improvements in COVID-19 situation, with 750 people testing positive for the virus as against 879 on Saturday and 946 on Friday.
Also, the recovery rate continued its upward trajectory, with 1,477 people recovering from the virus. With this, the number of recovered people reached 78,702.
The last 24 hours saw eight patients being shifted to the intensive care unit, bringing the total number of patients in the ICUs to 201.
In a statement, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said the number of daily cases that require intensive care and hospitalisation is decreasing.
The ministry warned that the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed by Qatar since June 15 after the epidemic receded in the country does not mean relaxation in the application of precautionary measures and steps by community members because the virus is still present in the community.
The ministry advised the people to be more cautious than before and to continue to apply social distancing, maintain sanitization of hands, wear protective face mask, observe caution when the person is near an elderly family member or people with chronic diseases, reduce the number of social visits and limit them to 15 minutes and maintain safe distance.
