BOGOTA: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has appointed an army general the country’s interim health minister, after the two previous health ministers resigned over his handling of the country’s soaring COVID-19 infections.
The decree announcing the appointment of Eduardo Pazuello was published on Wednesday.
Pazuello had already been unofficially working as interim health minister after Nelson Teich stepped down more than two weeks ago. (DPA)
