Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) System Wide Incident Command (SWICC) Committee members received a group of leaders and students from Ajyal Educational Center and Qatar Medical Physicists Society (QMPS) recently.
The visiting team lauded the medical teams in the frontline of the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They also presented trophies to SWICC members on behalf of their colleagues and participants at Ajyal centre and QMPS.
The SWICC members appreciated the visiting delegation and their unique social initiative.
“We would like to thank Ajyal Educational Center and the Qatar Medical Physicists Society for their social initiative titled ‘Thank you our white army’. We appreciate such initiatives that instill the value of gratitude and appreciation to medical professionals into the minds of our female and male students. It is our duty and responsibility towards our country and society as we are working within a comprehensive system to fight the pandemic.
We call upon individuals to commit to social distancing and prevention measures until we overcome this crisis,” said Dr Saad Al
Kaabi, chair of SWICC Committee.
Ajyal Educational Center launched the joint initiative with QMPS during Ramadan to distribute 800 gifts to be presented by students and participants of the centre to physicians, nurses and other healthcare officials working at the healthcare facilities to treat COVID-19 patients.
“We launched the initiative to appreciate the sincere and devoted work done by the medical teams to confront the pandemic. We think, it is important to involve our female and male students in extending appreciation to medical workers in Qatar.
Therefore, a group of students accompanied by Faisal Al Qahtani, executive director of Ajyal Educational Center, visited the physicians at their work places to thank them and give them presents.
We’ve also visited the medical teams at Ras Laffan, Meither, Al Khor and QRI to extend our appreciation to the working teams and give souvenirs. This comes in compliance with Ajyal Educational Center’s role in building a promising generation for a pioneer nation,” said Abu Bakr Mousa Abdullah, manager of Ajyal Educational Center.
