Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the armed attack which targeted a guard post south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, killing one soldier and injuring others. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and reasons.
The statement offered Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
