The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has sent a shipment of 9 tonnes of urgent medical aid to the Republic of Kazakhstan to support international efforts to counter and contain the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
The shipments delivered by Qatar Airways contains medical equipment and supplies such as masks, sterilisers and medical disinfectants.
QFFD Director General Khalifa bin Jassim al Kuwari stated: “This medical assistance reflects the great efforts made by Qatar to combat the spread of this pandemic, which poses a threat to the whole world. Qatar doesn’t hesitate in assisting its brotherly and friendly countries to contribute to reducing the spread of the pandemic and preventing it through medical supplies sent.”
It is noteworthy that Qatar has sent through QFFD urgent medical assistance to several friendly countries during this unprecedented pandemic in the past few months.
