Qatar on Thursday recorded 1,554 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total infected tally to 38,651, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said. In the last 24 hours, 688 people recovered form the virus, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Qatar to 7,288. An 81-year-old resident, who was receiving the necessary medical care in intensive care, succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 17. The ministry offered condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased. (TNN)
