Qatar skipper Iqbal Hussain Chaudhry and his two other teammates of the national team will take part in a webinar to be conducted by Christopher Raja, chief of Bravo Cricket Academy.
Besides Chaudhry, his deputy Mohammed Rizlan and opening batsman Zaheeruddeen are the other two players featuring in the session to be held on May 27 at 8 pm.
This is one of the several webinars Christopher has lined up in the upcoming weeks with a view to support the sport, reach out to the people and promote the work the cricketers have been doing during the difficult times across the sports industry due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is the first time in Qatar the top three cricket players will be addressing a webinar since the coronavirus crisis halted the sporting activities and events worldwide,” Raja said.
“The webinar will help cricket get exposure and us in letting the cricketing world know the work Qatar is doing in promoting and nurturing the cricket talents,” added Raja, who has two teams which are playing in two different divisions of the Qatar Cricket Association League.
He added he would be holding more webinar with Czech Republic player Honey Gori, Kenyan bowler Gagandeep Singh, Tom Tikolo, former captain of Kenyan World Cup team, and Chetan Suryawansh, captain of the Singapore team.
Christopher said his academy is planning to promote women’s cricket as well by hosting talk shows with some of the top women players based in Qatar and elsewhere.
