The general assembly meeting (GAM) of Qatar Chamber that was scheduled to be held online on May 21, has been postponed to June 8 due to lack of quorum of members who are eligible to attend, Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed al Thani has said.
Now the GAM will be held at 12 pm on June 8 regardless of the number of attendees, Sheikh Khalifa has noted.
The QC said that this year GAM would be held through video conference technology due to the current circumstances and in adherence to the precautionary measures taken to curb the outbreak of coronavirus.
QC members and businessmen, who are willing to participate in the meeting, are requested to register through the chamber’s website www.qatarchamber.com.
After the registration, each member will receive a link to follow up and participate in the meeting. The meeting’s agenda includes the review of the board of director’s reports on the activities of Qatar Chamber for 2019.
The meeting’s agenda also includes a discussion on Qatar Chamber’s fiscal report for 2019 through the auditor’s report on the final accounts, and the statement of income and expenses for the same period.
Similarly, the agenda also included the approval of the estimated budget for the fiscal year 2020 and the appointment of a new auditor for the financial year 2020.
