Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) honoured students who won the Student Design Contest 2020 via WebEx in the presence of around 400 guests. Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) sponsored the event.
The event was attended by Dean of CENG Dr Khalid Kamal Naji, CENG Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Prof Abdelmagid Hamouda, CENG Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies Prof Abbes Amira, CENG Head of Departments, parents , students and representatives of industrial partners and stakeholders.
CENG Dean stressed the importance of this event in recognising students who have achieved remarkable achievements in their departments in order to motivate them to achieve more excellence and academic progress. He also thanked industry partners, parents and students who attended, as well as community representatives.
Commenting on this successful event, Dr Khalid said, “Today, it is my honour to be at this event to share the joy of celebrating distinguished students by stressing CENG ‘s academic efforts, which are committed to fulfilling its vision of being recognised in the region for its excellence in education , research and community involvement, and for the quality of its socially responsible graduates.”
