PM, Nepalese counterpart discuss relations, efforts to combat COVID-19

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al Thani on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli to discuss relations between the two friendly countries and the ways of enhancing them in various fields.
The Nepalese prime minister thanked the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani for the care and interest shown to the Nepalese community in Qatar.
For his part, the Qatari prime minister and minister of interior praised the role of the Nepalese community in various fields of development in Qatar.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Nepalese prime minister conveyed the greetings of President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari to the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, wishing him and the people of Qatar good health and progress.
For his part, the prime minister and minister of interior entrusted his Nepalese counterpart with HH the Amir’s greeting to the Nepalese president, wishing him and the people of Nepal more progress and prosperity.
They also reviewed the two countries’ efforts to combat the COVID-19 epidemic.
