The hospitality industry is working with other sectors in Qatar to cope with the exceptional circumstances caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19).
In compliance with health precautionary measures, hotels are developing novel approaches to provide their services in accordance with the current situation with an aim to ensure the safety of customers and the community as a whole.
The current circumstances will see hotels offering their services in the Holy Month of Ramadan without the usual feasts and banquets to avoid all sorts of gatherings.
To keep serving their customers during Ramadan, the hotels will depend on special food delivery to individuals and families. Many hotels have announced their special Ramadan boxes that will contain main special dishes, fruits, drinks and desserts while taking into account the health precautions and guidelines spelt out by the Ministry of Public Health. Many hotels have also introduced special discounts of up to 50 percent.
On its social media platforms, while encouraging people to stay home, W Doha hotel posted its special menu and exclusive Ramadan boxes - “Dish of the day”, “Mezze box” and “Sweet box”, in addition to an upgraded W2Go menu, which includes dishes from Market by Jean-George, La Spiga by Paper Moon and Spice Market.
Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Doha is offering Ramadan packages and boxes that include a full meal and other dishes that will meet all customers’ requirements during the holy month through home delivery.
Some hotels have also announced collaboration with online food delivery services and applications such as Al Wadi Hotel (MGallery) that has recently signed pact with Talabat and Rafiq application to deliver food to their customers during the month of Ramadan.
Presenting Ramadan special offers with flavours from around the world, ATTEATUDE Tea Lounge, Signature MGallery is offering Iftar and suhour to its clientele at QR180 and QR165, respectively.
The St. Regis Doha Hotel is also keen to provide delivery services during the holy month. The Arab restaurant in the hotel is preparing integrated Ramadan meals for Iftar and suhour on delivery request, with 50 percent discounted prices compared to last year.
