PM checks medical readiness to fight virus Apr 10, 2020 0 862 12345 QNADohaPrime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al Thani visited the medical insulation complex and hospital in Umm Salal on Thursday to inspect its readiness to combat coronavirus (COVID-19). The complex has been set up by government as part of the national implementation plan to tackle COVID-19. The Prime Minister was briefed on the facilities available at the hospital and its readiness in providing isolation for those infected with the coronavirus. The medical insulation complex and hospital has a capacity of 12,500 beds and is equipped with all the necessary amenities, safety, and health requirements. The PM also inspected places for entertainment and meals.During the visit, the PM met with the staff of the complex, including doctors, nurses, and volunteers, and thanked them for their efforts in their positions at the frontline to confront the COVID-19 epidemic.The PM urged them to provide all possible medical and humanitarian services to help the infected people.
